American Bodies: A Community Conversation

Playwright Deonna Kelli Sayed has put together a community conversation in support of her new solo show American Body, and I’m honored to be a part of it.

Writer James Tate Hill, poet Matthew Johnson, writer and media producer Audrey Smith, activist Juliette Faroe and I will be talking about how body size, race, gender, and ability impacts our sense of belonging in America.

I hope you’ll join us for this free event on Monday, October 9th at 6:30pm in the Stephen Hyers theatre in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. I think it’s going to be a really dynamic and timely discussion. Register here.
